Instructor - We love having serious fun!

Our view of the instructor is that we should take our karate seriously but never take ourselves seriously. We aim to make karate fun to learn. An instructor should be enthusiastic, informative, no ego, able to demonstrate all techniques exactly and do anything that the students are asked to do.

Instructor Alexander (Ally) Whytock is a 5th Dan black belt and has trained in Shotokan since 1983.  Ally has gained success in competition at the national level. Ally was born and brought up in Coupar Angus.

Instructor and Child Welfare Officer, Karen Whytock is a 3rd Dan black belt and has trained in Shotokan since 2007. Karen was born and brought up in Blairgowrie. Sensei Iain Abernethy describes Karen's karate as being of a "high standard".
